When an 800-horsepower Shelby Mustang GT500 and an 800-horsepower Corvette ZR1 square off, it's anyone's guess as to who the winner will be. Either way though, it's a match-up that's about as full-throttle as you can get. Well, almost.
While the above street race was already set to be one for the books, it took a surprising turn when a third competitor cleared the pack and kept on booking it like there was no tomorrow.

Turns out there was a 1,000 horsepower Supra chilling behind that Mustang the whole time, waiting for its opportunity to strike. I mean, it was a good effort, but the Mustang and the Corvette never even really stood a chance.

For all you gearheads and souped-up sports car fans out there, there is a way for you to build a 1000 horsepower beast like the one you just saw. Of course, like with any ambitious custom protect, you need plenty of time, money, and resources at your disposal.
