Rutledge Wood has built the coolest Scion possible

When you think of the Scion xB, you often think of the boxy little car that Toyota killed in 2016 because its ugly design never caught on.

This is not that Scion.

This 2005 Scion xB has been seriously tricked out, and it's now a drift car that's on the market for $28,000 - or more than twice what a new model would have cost back in 2005.

What's been done? According to Rutledge Racing:

When you first think 'Scion xB', widebody, rear wheel drive, and 400+ HP usually aren't the first things that come to mind. This xB was originally built by my friend Yo, owner of DTA / Rogue Status, in which he competed in a Gumball 3000 rally The 2JZ-GTE was fitted into the bay by the pros over at Papadakis Racing. The car is currently under the knife down in Florida at Enjuku Racing, so be on the lookout for updates on the build progress!

This 2005 Scion xB build uses a Supra 2ZJ-GTE VVT engine with a Garrett GT35R Turbo, AEM EMS, ACT Clutch, and more to transform a quirky econo-box into a tire shredder.

And, it burns rubber well, as this video shows, and it has purple rims.
