On the eighth lap of the Geico 500, driver Danica Patrick lost control of her number 10 car from seventh place in the middle of the pack after being nudged from behind, and careened into Matt Kenseth’s number 20 car, sending them both hurtling toward the infield wall. Because of the angle she connected with Kenseth, his car was thrown up into the air with such force that it spun several times before coming back down to the ground. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured despite the crash’s wicked sight.
