Ford deemed the Mustang too big to be fast, so they took this to Le-mans instead

The new Le-Mans ready Ford GT comes in at around a half million dollars, and it might be worth every cent. The new GT was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ford winning Le Mans, and, as a car, it reflects that drive.

With a 600hp V6 housed in the back, and every possible way to improve airflow integrated into the chassis, the car is certainly a race car first and a road car last. That doesn't mean that it isn't a joy to drive though. The interior of the GT is anything but Spartan, with 18 buttons and dials on the steering wheel alone, as demonstrated by Doug DeMuro. Adding everything to the steering wheel is good idea too, because the car goes 0-60 in under 3 seconds and has a top speed of 216 mph. So, yeah, you want to keep your hands on the wheel at all times.

No matter how you look at it, Ford has done it again. The new GT is already a classic.
