Eddie Murphy in this throwback Toyota commercial is just the right kind of awful

It is easy to forget just how big of a star Eddie Murphy really was in the early 90s. After classics like 48 hours, Beverly Hills Cop and Coming to America, Murphy was ready to take it to the next level. By starring in a Japanese Toyota commercial? Murphy rides into frame atop a Celica to tell us all about "glamorous" styling and the four wheel steering (Remember that?) before inexplicably startling himself when discussing how many speakers the car has.

Throw in some strange car fondling that the director must have forgot to relegate to the blooper reel and Eddie's trademark laugh and you have yourself a commercial!
