While near impossible to find without being modified to death, mid 90's Honda Civics represent the perfect introduction to fun driving without sacrificing efficiency. RegularCars reviewed this 1995 Civic VX hatch and found that it was basic to the point of being perfect. Super lightweight, 55mpg, reliable, and slow. The reason being slow is a benefit to this car is that it scared away the tuner crowd. As long as you live in a climate that won't make you miss the air conditioning, this car is just the right mix of fun, reliability and efficiency. Just don't get lost in the nostalgia.
