The Fiesta ST will make you pine over a three cylinder

When you think of an engine that really gets you revved up, you usually think of a throaty V8, a balanced Inline six, or even a punchy boxer four. Rarely does anyone ever get excited over a three cylinder. The Fiesta ST will change that. Getting just under 200hp from a turbocharged 1.5 liter three cylinder is absolutely bonkers. It will even go down to a twin piston engine when cruising to save fuel.

In addition to various styling and interior quality upgrades, the 2018 model is faster than the previous FiST despite being down a piston. Upgraded suspension and tires combine with a torque vectoring system to make handling in this car way more fun than it has any right to be.

While the Fiesta ST may not ditch the more conventional four cylinder engine when it comes to the US, we kind of hope it does. And pining over a three cylinder feels all sorts of wrong.
