/TUNED has just begun their Tuner Car Shootout, where they rank tuned up street legal cars on both a road course and a sublime stretch of highway in the California hills. With heavy competition from a super tuned Porsche 911, an Acura NSX, a slammed out Golf, and race-ready GT-R, can the original American muscle car, the Ford Mustang GT hang with the big boys? The GT, tuned by Cali's Maximum Motorsports, finished 5th in overall lap time, but Matt Farah and crew can't deny that the Mustang possesses some particular strengths outside of raw racing power.
