Davin Reckow is not a professional drag racer. He is, however, an engineer and a tinkerer by trade, and the drag cars he fell in love with are the "slingshot" style front-engine dragsters which haven't seen wide-spread use since the 1960's. Competing in the Nostalgia Drag Racing League which doesn't receive the NHRA's support, he and other weekend warriors like him meet up on the drag strips of Ohio, Illinois, and Kentucky to strut their stuff. These 550 horsepower V-8-powered dragsters fuel their habit and give them the thrills they have been looking for.
