Cup driver narrowly avoids contact during a practice mishap

During an early Saturday practice session at Phoenix Raceway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had a bit of a moment. The rear end got loose and Stenhouse spun out, just barely avoiding contact with the wall.

The track is said to be very sensitive to temperature and he may have been caught off guard by the lack of grip on the cooler track. He gets ribbed a little bit for managing to lose control on a relatively easy portion of the track, but he also deserves a pat on the back for putting flat spots in the tires instead of the rear end of the car.
