Danica Patrick makes her strongest statement yet on her future plans

We haven't seen the last of Danica Patrick.

At least, that's her plan.

Patrick, who announced this week that she wasn't returning to Stewart-Haas Racing -- she didn't have a sponsor for next year -- said she's not retiring from racing.

"That's just not the case. It really just means that I'm not going to be driving for that team anymore. I've said for the last year or two that, you know, I'll do it as long as it's fun," Patrick said in remarks reported by the Chicago Sun Times. "What's fun is doing well. So, if I feel like I have an opportunity to be in a car that's going to give me the ability to have fun, which is run well, then that's what I'm doing to do."

She also told ESPN that while she's consider IndyCar, it's not in her sights right now.
