Toyota starts to brag, and some NASCAR fans won't like that

Pardon them while Toyota blows its own horn for a moment.

The auto manufacturer issued a press release touting its prospects for winning two manufacturer titles this weekend at the NASCAR championships in Homestead. Add in that Toyota drivers in two of NASCAR's three top series races - Cup and Camping World Trucks - have shots at taking team titles over the three days, that would cap a pretty good year for Toyota.

NASCAR has been consumed with  talks of Toyota dominance all season, with some drivers believing the cars somehow have an unfair advantage. Brad Keselowski has been among the most outspoken critics:

Toyota has 2 of the 4 cars racing in the Cup championship 4 on Sunday. Martin Truex, Jr. is the odds-on favorite to win it all, but Kyle Busch could easily take the flag. Truex, Jr. has had a career year this season for Furniture Row Racing, winning 7 races and 18 top-five finishes. The dominance of Toyota teams overall has drawn complaints of favoritism towards the manufacturer by NASCAR from other drivers.

Toyota also had two drivers competing in the championship 4 in trucks Friday night. Christopher Bell and Matt Crafton.

Toyota holds a 36-point lead in the manufacturer standings. If they win, it will be their 10th title in 14 years.  Now that's dominance.
