Chase Elliott may be the new fan favorite in NASCAR, and Jimmie Johnson a perennial contender for the title, but neither is Las Vegas's pick to win it all in 2018.

The Westgate Las Vegas Superbook has picked Kyle Busch as the driver to beat next year, reports espn.com The odds makers must have been impressed enough with his close finish to Martin Truex, Jr. at Homestead that they flipped the two drivers. Busch comes in at 9-2 odds of winning the title, Truex, Jr. is a 5-1 favorite.

Tied with Truex, Jr. at 5-1 is Kyle Larson and Kevin Harvick. They finished 8th and 3rd respectively in 2017. Elliott gets a nod at 6-1, but Jimmie Johnson is coming in at 15-1 odds of winning an 8th title.

Showing a little love to fresh faces, rookie drivers William Byron and Alex Bowman hit the 2018 season at 40-1 odds. Bowman is replacing Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in the #88, Byron is replacing Kasey Kahne.
