National Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Mike Duvall has passed away Tuesday morning according to JDMotorsports.

Nicknamed the "Flintstone F1yer" for his iconic race car, Duvall was just recently honored by Ross Chastain at the Xfinity series throwback race at Darlington. Chastain's car used a paint scheme that Duvall ran on his #5 Camaro in Daytona in 1978, 1979 and 1980 in the NASCAR Modified series, according to JDMotorsports via ESPN.

Duvall reportedly passed away at 3:16 AM, which held a special meaning to the man and his family as John 3:16 was his favorite Bible verse. Sharing his faith was always a big part of Duvall's life. In fact, he told the Gaffney Ledger that during the acceptance speech for a short track driver's award:

"In my acceptance speech, I asked everyone in the crowd to raise their hand if they had been saved. Only about six hands went up. 'Oh, we're going to have some fun tonight.'"

Our deepest condolences go out to the Duvall family.
