Martin Truex Jr. lets one of his major sponsors feel the burn -- in a good way

Since winning the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup series championship last month, Martin Truex Jr. has been on somewhat of a victory lap tour.

In addition to being sponsored by Furniture Row, Truex is also sponsored by Bass Pro Shops and has been for some time. In one of the unofficial tour's most recent legs, he stopped by a Bass Pro Shops store in Springfield, MO. But an appearance with Truex wouldn't be complete without the No. 78 Toyota Camry, which he drove into the parking lot as he arrived.

It didn't take much coaxing from the crowd for Truex to climb back through the window of his race car and burn some rubber for his fans. Near the 2:30 mark of the video you can catch Truex finishing his climb into the cockpit of the race car. He revved the engine, hit the gas, and the rest is history. Needless to say a large portion of the fans got engulfed in a cloud of smoke.

What better way to celebrate a championship and show appreciation to a sponsor, than to make an appearance and do donuts in the parking lot of their store?
