One surprised fan asked him about it on Twitter, and Larson (kind of) clarified his statement about the Chili Bowl. He said he was heartbroken when he didn't win the Daytona 500 last year.

Larson has indicated in recent interviews that dirt track racing is more important to him, and he wants to race in the World of Outlaws full time before his career is finished. That might rub NASCAR fans the wrong way, but Larson has always indicated how important dirt track racing is to him.

He won the Chili Bowl's A main on Tuesday night, and he'll be racing again in the main event on Saturday.

Larson enjoys racing in almost any kind of series, and it's in his contract with Chip Ganassi Racing that he can participate in races outside of NASCAR. Fans can expect to continue to see Larson on the dirt tracks in the near future.
