As the end of the year comes closer and closer, team owners are busy tying up some loose ends.
Kyle Busch just tied one of those loose ends into a pretty bow worthy of a belated Christmas gift. Busch signed 16-year-old Canadian talent Raphael Lessard to race for Kyle Busch Motorsports in about 20 late model races during the 2018 season, according to Yahoo Sports.

Last season Lessard drove in the three races in the ARCA Racing Series. He also had 15 top-10's in 17 races as a Toyota Racing Development driver. He was also the 2016 CARS Super Late Model Tour champion, with four wins on the year.
"It's fantastic what happens to me, it's definitely the most beautiful Christmas present I could hope (for)," Lessard said via a press release on his Facebook page."
He went on to thank his family and his sponsors for helping him get to the stage in which he for his career.
"Thank my parents, Jack Irving and Toyota TRD, investors in the limited partnership and my sponsors without whom it would not be possible."
Lessard will make his 2018 debut for KBM on Jan. 27-28 in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Speedfest 200 at Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordelle, Georgia.
A number of drivers have had their careers kick-off via KBM, Lessard looks to be the latest to follow that trend. William Byron, Christopher Bell, and Erik Jones have all previously raced under the tutelage of Busch and Kyle Busch Motorsports.
