Kyle Busch runs fast at Michigan, but gets some potentially terrible news

How is a day both good and bad?

When you run real fast and damage your car.

That's what happened during Friday's practice run at Michigan International Speedway to Kyle Busch. He had the second fastest practice run of the day (202.327 mph) as his No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota whipped around the track.

But -- it wasn't all good.

With about 10 minutes left in practice, Busch made contact with the wall and suffered what NASCAR.com described as "significant" damage. His team is assessing the damage to determine whether he'll have to go to his backup car.

Ryan Blaney has the fastest run at 203.501 mph lap.
