Kurt Busch divulged a long held family secret

Speaking on NBC's NASCAR America, Kurt Busch let go of a family secret. When Kurt and his younger brother Kyle were younger, their dad, Tom Busch, used to make them fix their own racecars. This practice made sure the Busch brothers learned to respect their cars more as they knew anything they broke, they would be fixing themselves.

Kurt has taken the lesson to heart to this day. If he takes care of his equipment, it will take care of him. This is stellar parenting advice for anyone with young racers in the house. Having to fix your own mistakes and learning to respect your own and others' property is a life lesson anyone can benefit from.

Both Busch brothers qualified for the playoffs with Kyle finishing the regular season in third place and Kurt in 12th.
