One of the best parts about NASCAR is how interactive the drivers are with their fans on social media.
But it can also be a double-edged sword and leave them vulnerable to some abusive internet trolls.
RELATED: Several NASCAR drivers troll Kenny Wallace for this "crazy story"
One fan recently took to Twitter asking racing legend Mark Martin where Kenny Wallace has been over the past month, because he hasn't been active on Twitter.

Wallace's last tweet was made on Nov. 30 and since then it's been dead silent.
Did I read MORE DIRT Races????? https://t.co/CcB6D8RWKT

In response to the fan, Martin responded with what he believes to be the reason for Wallace's absence from the social networking site.
He got tired of all the negativity and $hit talking. People really say things on Twitter that they should just keep to themselves. https://t.co/7l3xNKL1R1

Some fans talked about how some of the veteran drivers of the past are treated extremely poor in relation to the current drivers of the circuit.
I have been a @NASCAR fan for 28 years and the disrespect that is given to the drivers of the past is horrible. I?ve been a @kylepetty fan since the beginning and it annoys me how he is treated.

People are just nasty online. If they said half this crap in person they would get punched.

All it takes is a few bad apples to ruin things for the whole bunch. If the negativity is indeed the reason for Wallace's hiatus from Twitter, hopefully it doesn't keep him away for long, as there are fans that miss reading his posts.
I LOVE @Kenny_Wallace and his positivity. He's got a zest for life that is contagious. How can one not be inspired by him?
