The start to Jimmie Johnson's day has gone from bad to worse.

After spinning and failing to advance to the final round of qualifying. Jimmie Johnson was prepared to start in 24th, but will instead be moved further back. Because of the spin, adjustments needed to be made to Johnson's car. Adjusting the car after qualifying is against the rules so he will be sent to the back of the field to start.

Johnson is currently fifth in the playoff standings, and the next cutoff will pare the field down to only four drivers. Needless to say, this is big.
