Sorry, Dale. Sorry, Greg.

NASCAR today made official that, because of an unsecured lug nut violation on the No. 88, crew chief Greg Ives will be suspended for what could very well be Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s final race this weekend, at Richmond.

Hendrick Motorsports, via NASCAR.com, said it wouldn't appeal.

Junior had another disappointing finish -- he came in 22nd at the Southern 500 -- and the post-race inspection made things even worse when NASCAR found two unsecured lug nuts on his No. 88.

In addition to Ives' suspension, he was fined $20,000.

Car chief Travis Mack will serve as interim crew chief, Hendrick announced in a release.
