Chip Ganassi Racing gets a lift heading into the season

Chip Ganassi Racing announced big sponsorship news a month before the 2018 season begins.

DC Solar is extending its sponsorship with Chip Ganassi Racing, and the mobile lighting solutions company will offer funding for both Kyle Larson and Jamie McMurray in the Cup Series in 2018. DC Solar has worked with CGR in the Xfinity Series over the last three years, and they will continue working with the team in the Xfinity Series and in the Indy Car Series with Scott Dixon and Ed Jones.

According to Yahoo Sports, Larson will debut the DC Solar paint scheme next month at an exhibition race at Daytona.

Watch Larson and McMurray unveil the paint schemes on Tuesday.

DC Solar will also sponsor Larson and McMurray in some Xfinity races.

Securing sponsors is always important for NASCAR teams and drivers, and maintaining relationships with sponsors is even more vital.
