The two had been together for five years and there were no prior indications of trouble in their relationship. The two have asked for privacy, which will be hard to come by as NASCAR drivers are sometimes forced to live very public lives.
Patrick is going through a time of major changes in her life after retiring from full time racing and transitioning to work with her various business ventures outside of NASCAR.
