Danica Patrick reportedly working on a deal that could finally settle her future

Danica Patrick set a press conference to announce her plans going forward. We already know Patrick will not be back with Stewart-Haas Racing as she will be replaced by Aric Almirola. What we do not know, however, is if she will continue racing for another team or focus on her businesses.

We won't know for sure until the announcement, but USA Today reports that she is working on a deal with NBC Sports.

Danica has TV experience already, so the move would make sense. She has done several commercials for Go Daddy and spends most of her time in the spotlight being the only woman driver in NASCAR. She has also been a pit reporter for Fox Sports covering an Xfinity Series race, so she has experience on both sides of the microphone.

Patrick had been linked to the number 27 car of Richard Childress Racing, and we know NASCAR really wants her to stay in the sport. While there's a lot of young talent coming through the ranks, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s retirement leaves a popularity void, and while Patrick isn't successful on the track, she's a marketing machine.
