There's a possibility Danica Patrick only has three races remaining in her full-time Cup Series career, and the 35-year-old has yet to find a team for next season.
Bleacher Report's Lars Anderson did a lengthy profile on Patrick -- it's worth a read -- and she acknowledged that her career might be over in just a few weeks.
"I never have any regrets," Patrick said. "I wish I could have won more often, but so much in racing is out of your control. If this is the end, a certain portion of me has to die. A part of my identity will go away. But you have to let go of things. There's sadness, but there's also excitement. My future could be better than I can even envision."

Patrick is driving the No. 10 car for Stewart-Haas Racing, but she won't be returning to the team next season.
No team has expressed interest in signing Patrick for next season, and she is among several veteran drivers who will be free agents after this season.
It's hard to imagine Patrick being signed before a driver like Matt Kenseth, so the next three races could be it for Patrick's full-time career. She'll likely have options as an analyst or in some role on TV after she stops driving, so racing fans will still likely see her around the sport.
She hasn't won a race in the Cup Series, but if this it for her career, she certainly made a huge impact on the sport.
