Matt Bell started racing cars when he was 22, and he has raced in a few NASCAR races and now competes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

His current racecar is the Chevy Camaro GT4R, which tops out at about 170 mph. He told the Charlotte Observer he normally races against recognizable cars such as a Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Mustang, Mercedes or BMW.

"These are recognizable cars," Bell said. "These are cars that people know from the road, and when they see it on the race track it is kind of a fun true comparison between these street cars and the race cars."

Bell is racing at the Michelin GT Challenge at Virginia International Raceway from Aug. 25-27.

The 31-year-old said he isn't allowed to drive his GT4R on the streets every day, so he has to settle for his 1986 Porsche Carrera.

Bell said he was pulled over about 10 times when he first got his license, so now he is the "slowest driver on the road."

It's probably very challenging for a driver who is accustomed to driving fast to abide by the speed limit when driving on the interstate. Especially when you're driving a Porsche.
