From Hendrick Motorsports:

Chase Elliott has yet to find Victory Lane in the NASCAR Cup Series, but he has certainly come close.

The driver has earned seven runner-up results, and he's finished third an additional six times.

Entering the 2018 season in the number synonymous with his legendary racing family, Elliot will continue to strive toward that first win.

And his home track is doing what it can to provide some extra mojo to the driver as he moves to the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

This week, Atlanta Motor Speedway announced a "Good Luck, Chase" program, collecting good luck charms to provide to the driver.

The idea came from a "lucky charm" promotion back in 1983 involving Elliott's father Bill.

Back then, Charlotte Motor Speedway organized the campaign, and Atlanta Motor Speedway president Ed Clark - who at the time was public relations director at Charlotte Motor Speedway - helped execute it.

"The promotion we came up with for Bill in '83 created an amazing amount of interest and support from fans all over the country," Clark said. "We received package after package full of good-luck charms, and it seemed like everybody was pulling for him to get that first win."

Coincidentally or not, as lucky charms poured in from across the country, the elder Elliott captured his first career NASCAR Cup Series win just three weeks later in the 1983 season finale.

Now, 35 years later, Atlanta is asking fans to send their own good-luck charms to the new driver of the No. 9 Chevy by shipping them to the track at 1500 Highway 19/41, Hampton, GA 30228. Make sure to send the package attention: "Good Luck, Chase."

The track plans to present the charms to Elliott in a special presentation on Feb. 13. So be sure to send yours his way!
