There's tension in any good relationship, especially when competition is involved.

That tension boiled over in Charlotte on Sunday when Jimmie Johnson and his crew chief, Chad Knaus, got into a little spat -- and Knaus had to set him straight in an exchange caught on scanner traffic.

Knaus had to calm down Jimmie Johnson after he had some tire pressure troubles.

"I know, I know, I know," Johnson said. "Let's just move the (expletive) on. I just need a little bit better tire pressure and I'll do better."

"Calm down pal," Knaus said. "I'm trying to help."

"It's not calm in the slightest bit in the car right now, so I'm trying," Johnson said.

All is always good when the race is over, though.
