Everyone has heard at this point, but in case you live underneath a rock far away from any wifi, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has retired. To quote Brett Griffin, Dale is trading in his helmet for spandex or, you know, maybe a boat instead, maybe both. Who knows? It’s like the world just opened up for him.

In honor of the champion’s exit from an illustrious career, a bunch of fellow of racers and friends teamed up to piece together a heart-warming “welcome to retirement” video. And with 26 wins and 149 top five finishes, Earnhardt will definitely be missed.

Hope he enjoys doing burnouts in an Odyssey from here on out.
