Polaris Defense is the military-spec arm of the humble all-terrain vehicle manufacturer, and with the introduction of their new turbocharged, diesel-engined off-road vehicles like the MRZR-D4, Polaris and the military look poised to actually put these more than capable off-road combat platforms into real service. The D4 can haul up to 1,500 lbs of payload and cargo, and with switchable 2WD and AWD modes, they can conquer any terrain without issue. The 2,100-lb off-road buggies can fit comfortably into the existing cargo bays of the MV-22 Osprey and the CH-53 Stallion chopper, and the military hopes it can benefit from a longer range in the diesel version.
