If you're in the market for a pickup and have $295,000 burning a hole in your pocket look no further then the Hennessey Performance version of the 2017 Ford Raptor.  To Jurassic Park fans' delight, they have renamed this nimble little dinosaur the Velociraptor.

So, what can you buy with six times the yearly average income in the USA?  To start, it does include the price of the base 2017 Ford Raptor, so that's good.  From there, Hennessey adds the 6x6 locking rear axles, upgraded Fox suspension, upgraded 20 inch wheels and off-roading tires, special front and rear bumpers, a rollbar and enough LED lighting to communicate back to extra terrestrial beings wondering what in the world your driving around in.

If all that added weight is holding the stock 450 horsepower twin turbo V-6 back, you can add an optional twin turbo upgrade to bump up output to 600 horsepower.  This will tack another $22,500 on to your bill.  There is no chance any of these trucks leave Hennessey without this upgrade.  For those seeking even more, you can opt for larger Brembo brakes, more LED lights, even larger wheels and tires and a slew of electronic upgrades.  Prices for these are not yet listed but if you're over $300k deep already, do you really care?

If the 6x6 look isn't for you, Hennessey does offer the twin turbo package by itself.  Its performance numbers match those of super cars from years past.  0-60 in just 4.2 seconds with a 12.9 second quarter mile time.  They will only built 100 of these and not only do you get a numbered plaque under the hood, it also comes with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.
