The 2018 Dakar Rally is just around the corner, giving the perfect, dusty start to the year. To make sure that everyone is up to speed, Red Bull took the time to put together a briefing for everyone, so we all sound smart on Jan. 6.
This will be the 40th rally and mark the 10th time the race has blistered through South America. The first stage of the 13 stage competition will begin in Lima, Peru and snake through Argentina, Bolivia, then back to Argentina once more.
Four vehicle classes compete in the incredibly strenuous series: quads, cars, trucks, and bikes. Each class has its own advantages and drawbacks, meaning the rally is never dull.
