Jenna Rabberman is preaching the gospel of kids car seats after her two sons came through a horrific crash without a scratch.
The Pennsylvania mom posted a photo on Facebook of her totaled Honda CRV with two car seats right in front looking untouched. In her post, Rabberman stated "THIS is why you buckle your kids into their car seats correctly every SINGLE time."
Rabberman told The Today Show that she always makes sure she buckles her boys, 3-years-old and 6-weeks, properly in their car seats even though the older one fusses about all the straps. He's even started asking to face forward like his other friends.
"I was starting to feel like 'that mom' by keeping him rear facing. I'll never second guess that again!" she said.
Rabberman decided to post the picture as a way of showing folks the importance car seat safety. She says the paramedics who responded to her accident told her there could have been a different outcome "had I not taken the extra two minutes to be sure they were buckled correctly."
"I'm so thankful that we get to be an example of what TO do instead of what not to do. I hope people will see my story and realize that car seat safety is not something to take lightly," Rabberman said.
The family has replaced those car seats and is now shopping for a new car, but Rabberman says she definitely wants another Honda CRV.
