Maybach's entry into the luxury off-road market is as extravagant as you'd expect

When we heard Mercedes was going to do a Maybach version of the iconic G class offroader, we knew to expect an over the top vehicle. This time they have outdone themselves. The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet is peak excess.

Key to the Mercedes-Maybach clientele is that the truck must deliver a lavish experience from the back seat while an employee handles the driving. The G650 Landaulet delivers with a power retractable fabric top so owners can prove that their toupee game is strong while enjoying the open air. The Maybach-sourced seats are the pièce de résistance. Car and Driver  reports:

"[The] seats can recline nearly flat, they feature a vigorous massage system, and they're accompanied by fold-out tray tables, as well as silver champagne flutes, supplied by Robbe & Berking, hidden in a separate compartment."

Don't think all this luxury is at the expense of performance. Portal axles help achieve a ground clearance to 17.7 inches. In addition to legit offroad capability, Jeeves will have 621 hp from the bi-turbo V12 to make sure the boss is never late to a meeting again.
