This luxury car brand may bring all-electric models to its fleet

Ford is planning on announcing a gasoline-electric hybrid model for its luxury Lincoln brand on all U.S. models by 2022, according to Automotive News.

To top that off, the company may also introduce one or more all-electric models.The plan could help Lincoln's future in China, which will require companies to make electric vehicles an increasing percentage of their total sales.

The announcement could happen as soon as Oct. 3 according to the site, and would follow the model of other luxury brands rolling out more eco-friendly models.

Lincoln also plans to redevelop several plug-in hybrids by 2019, including the Navigator, the MKC crossover and the new Aviator.
