The Subaru Loyale Is The Dad Car That Started It All

Subaru in the 90's, in the United States, was the BRAT and this dad wagon, the Loyale. It was a no frills, ultra reliable, ugly as hell box. And every body and their dad drove one because they were cheap and great on gas. You could get a turbo on it, but no one did, because these were family cars and families aren't turbo charged. You don't see them much these days, but if you do, you can bet the guy driving it knows some terrible jokes.
