Rallycross competitors Joni Wiman and David Higgins have duked it out many, many times on the dirt tracks of the Global Rallycross Championships, but at Red Bull’s GRC Los Angeles competition, their rivalry went a little airborne. Wiman and his Honda were trying to carve a decisive inside line against David Higgins and his Subaru, but when they both hit a 70-foot dirt kicker at the same time, Wiman came down right on top of Higgins, wrenching the driver’s side fender into pulp. Both drivers were able to recover from the collision, but that’s not something you see every day, even in the high-thrills world of GRC.
