With only a half hour left in the grueling 10-hour Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, Jens Klingmann took an unfortunate broadside which severely damage his rear tires, but decided to stay out another lap, despite having issues restarting the car. Even more unfortunately, when one of the tires finally lost its battle with a puncture, Klingmann was forced back into the pit, where his pit crew realized the suspension had suffered too much damage and they were forced to retire the car. Klingmann, who had been pulling well in third position, could not help but express his anger as his race was cut short, slamming the door to his BMW and storming off the track.
