The new Dodge Ram can tow almost anything you could want it to

There's always a bigger truck, and the new 2018 Ram 3500 turbodiesel puts that maxim into practice. The massive six-wheel Ram is capable of towing 30,000 pounds, if you option the fifth wheel hitch, which is more than you need.

Even if you don't decide to up-the-ante with the $1,395 towing hitch upgrade, you'll still have an impressive 20,000 lb. towing capacity at your disposal with a traditional hitch, but if you're already fronting the money for a truck with this level of power, it might be worth adding the extra option.

The new Ram's power comes from the company's partnership with Cummns, resulting in a 6.7-liter turbodiesel inline-six motor capable of producing 930 lb-ft of torque, which ups the bar by 30 lb-ft from the 2017 Ram 3500.

Head of Jeep and Ram Mark Manley said the new Ram falls in line with the values of their customers, who "demand hard-working, long-lasting capability."
