Arnold Schwarzenegger owns an electric car but it's so much cooler than it sounds

Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for his action movies and time as governor of California, but his greatest impact in the car world was convincing AM General to bring the Hummer to the civilian market after falling in love with the military Humvee. With his role in popularizing the behemoth that got between 10 and 15 miles per gallon, Schwarzenegger is the last person you'd expect to own an all-electric car. Well, he does. But the for the Terminator, not any electric car will do.

Enter Kreisel Electric, who builds custom electric cars. For Arnold, Kreisel threw battery packs and electric motors at a Mercedes G-Wagon until it achieved 482 horsepower and a 0-60 time of 5.6 seconds. With a range just short of 190 miles and the ability to recharge to 80% in just 25 minutes, the electric G-Wagon is surprisingly usable. Between the rugged looks and impressive power, Arnold seems to have found an electric car that is worthy of a killer robot from the future.
