This has lead to unique transportation and shipping solutions on the part of Australia’s gas and mining companies, who have engineered lengthy, multi-axle tractor trailers called “road trains” some of which go on for hundreds of feet, carrying multiple trailers or tanks for the shipping of vital resources and fuels. The longest “road train” belongs to a mining company which transports massive quantities of zinc ore from the mines to the market.
