Car vs. motorcycle street and drag races sound good in theory. In fact, we've seen a number of incredible ones over the years. When they're done well, they're amazing to watch. When they're not done so well, it's straight-up embarrassing.

Whether or not a car vs. bike race is good or terrible typically hinges on the motorcyclist. If the motorcyclist is working with a souped-up bike and they've got the skills to back it up, it'll usually be a close or exciting race. If the motorcyclist isn't so skilled, then, well, you'll get the sort of embarrassing fail that you can see in the above video. Yeah, he needed to walk this one off.

Ouch! You see where that all went wrong? After the two racers got the go-ahead, the biker immediately realized that he had forgotten to switch to first gear. Once he realized his error, he switched to first in a panic. The problem is that he shifted into first while still on the throttle, so when he popped the clutch, it was game over. Definitely not the smartest of moves, that's for sure.

You can tell he's probably not the most experienced of motorcyclists. That, or he wasn't used to racing in front of that many people, and his nerves just got the better of him. Either way, we're sure he really felt that in the morning. Both the shame and embarrassment over his mistake and maybe even a bruise or two from his immediate wipeout. Oh well. Better luck next time, bud.
