Volkswagen has an unfortunate history with Nazi Germany. Being created as Hitler’s state owned auto manufacturer, “The people’s car company” began to build the iconic type 1 beetle as well as a number of military vehicles for the Nazi military.
This particular 1944 Beetle has quite a history itself. That is because this Bug was owned by Hermann Goering himself. While owning Hitler’s right hand man’s car would be beyond creepy, the historical nature of the car does warrant a spot in a museum’s collection. With a “buy it now” price of over half a million dollars, that is this car’s likely destination.
