For Ferrari 512BBi owner and architectural designer Holger Schubert, his minimalist dream house “facilitates the environment, but all the attention is focused on the car.” The procedure of simply backing the car out of his unique and custom-built home is central to the total experience of driving his classic Ferrari every day. The “garage”, which is actually in his living room, features a ramp which lets Schubert roll out of the garage, onto a small driveway “bridge” to the main gate of the house, then out on the street. For him, this care and patience, even just applied to backing the car out, is an essential and integral component of the total package.
