Dodge’s theme for SEMA 2016 seems to be muscles, specifically, putting more muscle into their existing models by borrowing from their wildly successful reboots of the Charger and Challenger. The “Shaker” Durango concept borrows some affectations from the Charger SRT 392, in addition to the Shaker’s split-grilled hood scoop. Under that scoop sits the same 6.4-liter HEMI that’s in the 392, outfitted with a cold air intake and exhaust kit from MOPAR. Add in the Hellcat’s beefy Brembo piston brakes and a custom suspension that lowers the overall profile by three full inches, and you’ve got an SUV that could easily stand toe-to-toe with all of the other SRTs in Dodge’s catalog.
